ANNA GERSHENSON

I have been teaching cooking classes since 1997. My classes cater to both beginner and advanced levels of cooking. The curriculum is flexible and designed to meet the needs of my students. Some of the basics include building your pantry, learning knife skills, food preparation techniques and shortcuts, the nutritional value of food, use of spices for health and flavoring, as well as menu planning. My classes are focused on teaching how to cook locally and seasonally.


Over the years, I have taught Girls Scouts, kids’ cooking classes, kids’ birthday parties,  corporate team-building events as well as Girls Night Out and Couples Night Out. I have been offering my cooking classes as auction items for charitable organizations' fundraisers, teaching one-on-one as well as large groups virtually using Zoom. 


Through a personal journey to healing, I discovered the intrinsic connection between food and the human body, how cooking can become your mindful meditation and a source of pride and joy in your life.
